To photograph is to hold one’s breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It’s at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy.
I have been photographing the way I see the world since childhood. Never leaving home without my camera, I documented the daily lives of my friends and family. After completing my Arts Degree at the University of Winnipeg, I went on to study photography at the University of Manitoba. This environment led me to develop a photographic art practice where I explored my passion for portraiture and street photography.
My photographs have been shown in numerous venues across Canada including the Winnipeg Art Gallery. My work can also be found in many private Canadian collections and a solo exhibition of the series, It’s a Good Life was held in Winter 2009 at Martha Street Studio. You can also visit The Tallest Poppy restaurant on Main Street where some of my favourite images are currently displayed.
