This little girl’s pretty name is Dahlia which is a perennial flower native to Mexico, Central America, and Colombia. A member of the Asteraceae, related species include the sunflower, daisy, chrysanthemum and zinnia. The majority of species do not produce scented flowers or cultivars. Like most plants that do not attract pollinating insects through scent, they are brightly colored, displaying most hues, with the exception of blue.
From my internet search it seems that pink is the most common color which Dahlia appropriately wore in her hair. I love the shot of the fussy little flower! I had a great time with this family, mom complimented my choice of Johnny Cash and dad gave me free electrical advise. Thanks guys, hope to see your next bud soon.
